По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Customs cooperation, the digital agenda and prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector will be the priority areas of collaboration between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Chile for 2018. It was agreed at the meeting held in Moscow on July 26 by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Tatyana Valovaya, and the Vice Trade Minister and Foreign Ministry General Director of International Economic Affairs of the Republic of Chile, Paulina Nazal.​

The report on achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was made by the Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Oleg Pankratov, at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN). The EAEU became the first regional integration association, which prepared a report for public discussion at the high-level Policy Forum on Sustainable Development of the Union Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the key event on monitoring the UN agenda for sustainable development up to 2030.

At the session of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) held on July 11, the draft Strategy for the development of the integrated information system of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) up to 2025 was approved. A number of decisions in respect of technical regulation and customs administration were also taken. In particular, the participants agreed transitional provisions of the technical regulations “On safety of equipment for children's playgrounds” and amended the decision of the Commission of the Customs Union that simplifies the export of Kazakh oil extracted at the Karachaganak field and exported to third countries through the Russian territory. The Members of the Board discussed the review of the forms and methods of state support to agriculture applied in the EAEU countries as part of an agreed (coordinated) agroindustrial policy.​

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) becomes a bridge between East and West that would strengthen mutually beneficial ties between the states of the Eurasian continent and ensure unimpeded transit of cargoes from Asia to Europe, including through conjunction of the EAEU and Chinese Silk Road Economic Belt Initiative. The Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC, Adamkul Zhunusov, told about the work of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in this direction on July 10, in Istanbul, when delivered a welcome address at the session of the 90-th General Assembly of the International Union of Railways (UIC).
