New Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture appointed in the EEC

A new Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission Artak Kadzhikovich Kamalyan has entered upon his duties since February 1, 2020. The appointment of this representative of the Republic of Armenia was decided by the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union countries on December 20, 2019 at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's meeting in St. Petersburg.

The new EEC Minister is an Economist, Teacher and Professor. Prior to his appointment to the Commission, Artak Kadzhikovich served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia, and Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

Artak Kamalyan graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Voronezh State Agrarian University named after K.D. Glinka. In 2000, he received his higher doctorate degree in economics. He is the author of more than 140 scientific, teaching and methodological papers.
