Legal labor migration flows increase in EAEU

​              "Preferences in the single labor market provided to the Eurasian Economic Union citizens and not available to third country workers contribute to increasing the legality of labor migration”, - Askar Kishkembayev, Head of the Secretariat of the EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, stated at the international scientific and practical conference dedicated to discussing labor migration from the Kyrgyz Republic to the EAEU States.

            The Commission’s representative told about some prospects for pension benefits of workers in the EAEU, creation of a unified search system "Work without Borders", express recognition of scientific and academic degrees and education in pedagogical, legal, medical and pharmaceutical specialties as well as settlement of workers’ problems arising during their stay in the state of employment.     

Statistics show an increase in legal labor migration flows. In 2014, for instance, 371,656 Kyrgyz citizens were registered for migration in Russia, the main country for receiving workers, for the purpose of employment, and by the end of 2019, their number increased by 22% and amounted to 453,702 people. As of July 1, 2019, the number of Kyrgyz citizens insured in the system of individual personalized record-keeping of the Russian Federation amounted to 475,051 people. Insurance contributions were assessed for 243,527 citizens.    

"We believe that unified mutually acceptable approaches should be established regarding all problematic issues in the EAEU single labor market”, - Askar Kishkembayev concluded.​
