Adamkul Zhunusov introduced the digital transformation of the transport sector at the plenary discussion of the International Transport Forum

"Digitization" has become not just a key technological trend, but also a catalyst for global change in society, trade and commodity markets, industry, transport, services sector," said Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Adamkul Zhunusov having spoken at the plenary session of the International Forum "Transport Week 2017."

He noted that the digital agenda is one of the most important priorities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and is reflected in the Main Directions of Transport Policy of the Member States of the Union. Road maps on its implementation for all modes of transport provide for the transition to e-document management, large-scale implementation of intelligent transport systems and electronic vehicle diagnostics, single point of contact, and digital logistics.

The panel discussion was also attended by the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhamshitbek Kalilov, Minister of Communications of Latvia Uldis Augulis, Minister of Development of Roads and Transport of Mongolia Zhadambyn Bat-Erdene, Deputy Minister of Transport of the PRC Dai Dongchang, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alan Lushnikov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin, Secretary-General of the SCO Rashid Alimov, Deputy Executive Secretary of UNESCAP Hongjoo Hahm, acting Director of the UNECE Sustainable Transport Division Walter Nissler, and First Deputy Director General of JSC Russian Railways Alexander Misharin.
