EEC helps Union's companies promote foreign projects

Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Sergey Gorkov, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Rosgeologia JSC, have signed a road map for interacting within the negotiation process for concluding free trade area agreements.

The document is aimed at promoting joint projects to be implemented with countries the Eurasian Economic Union is building up in-depth trade and economic interaction with.

"Rosgeologia is one of the largest and the most authoritative operators in the field of geological prospecting and exploration. In turn, the Commission maintains an active dialogue with the business community to identify barriers preventing its access to third-country markets. The EEC, jointly with the Member States, is intensifying efforts to ensure the most favorable conditions for our companies' access. Free trade area agreements contribute to deepening trade and economic relations and expanding business ties between the EAEU and partner countries," noted Andrey Slepnev, EEC Minister in charge of Trade.

The value of foreign contracts implemented by Rosgeologia exceeded 3 bln rubles last year,” stated Sergey Gorkov, Head of Rosgeologia. “Search for and implementation of efficient mechanisms for promoting the Holding's geological prospecting and exploration services in highly competitive international markets will help ensure the most comfortable working conditions in our priority countries. We are grateful to the EEC for joint efforts in this direction.”

The meeting of the EEC representatives and Rosgeologia management was held as part of the systematic work that the Commission's Trade Unit is building up in order to maximize effects of trade agreements with third countries. The EEC invites the EAEU Member States' business community to a dialogue on finding new opportunities in the markets of free trade area partners.
