EAEU finalizes its integration development strategy

The issue of finalizing the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 was addressed at the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission held on July 20.

Earlier, the Heads of the States of the Eurasian Economic Union generally approved the draft document and instructed the Governments of the participating countries to finalize the document for the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The EEC Council members focused on the issues identified by the Heads of the States and discussed compromise language. As Sergei Glazyev, EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, has informed, the Commission has already started preparing a plan of measures on implementing those provisions which are not disputed.

Strategic directions include general (conceptual) provisions and 330 measures and mechanisms grouped into 11 system blocks, which disclose the provisions of the Declaration on further development of integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union.
