EAEU countries to restrict export of means required for COVID-19 control

In order to stabilize the situation related to the spreading of COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) and the lack of personal protective equipment, the EEC Board decided on March 24, 2020 to introduce a temporary ban on exporting personal protective equipment, protective agents and disinfectants, products for medical use and materials from the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) https://docs.eaeunion.org/docs/ru-ru/01425254/err_26032020_41

 The list of items prohibited for export from the EAEU customs territory includes cotton wool, gauze fabric, bandages, masks, half-masks, face respirators, respirators, filters for personal respiratory protective equipment, protective glasses, disinfectants, protective overshoes, certain types of clothing and related accessories, and gloves.

 A disposition was adopted at the meeting of the Commission’s Council held on March 25 ensuring that the Board’s Decision becomes effective at the earliest opportunity. This new measure will be valid until September 30, 2020.
