Issues of implementation of the Agreement on the mechanism of traceability of goods imported into the EAEU were discussed in the EEC

8/28/2020

August 27, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) held a meeting of the Working Group on Traceability under the leadership of the Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich.

The working group was created to implement the Agreement on the mechanism of traceability of goods imported into the customs territory of the EAEU.

The event was attended by members of the EEC Board - Minister for Customs Cooperation Oleg Pankratov, Minister for Technical Regulation Viktor Nazarenko, Minister for Economics and Financial Policy Timur Zhaksylykov, as well as representatives of the Blocks for Trade and Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies.

EEC representatives discussed the implementation of the agreement after its ratification.

For reference.

The agreement on the mechanism of traceability of goods imported into the customs territory of the EAEU has now been ratified by Armenia, Belarus and Russia. The Agreement will enter into force upon receipt by the Commission of the last written notification on the completion of the necessary procedures.

The agreement is intended to provide confirmation of the legality of the turnover of goods during their movement across the EAEU and to create conditions that exclude the use of various schemes for evading customs and tax payments. This mechanism will enable businesses to operate in a transparent manner.
