По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

The Member of the Board – Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Valery Koreshkov told about these common tasks and the need to establish cooperation in the sphere of pharmaceutical market regulation of the continent during the international seminar “Regional pharmaceutical markets of the EU and the EAEU - general trends, regulation and challenges” held in Brussels.​

EEC has adopted the “Code on product conformity assessment”

New Model Conformity Assessment Schemes establish single rules for the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries for certification, declaration and state registration of products satisfying the requirements of the Union technical regulations. The document, which has been recently adopted by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), guarantees to entrepreneurs that the procedures established in technical regulations on its basis will be equipollent, and the assessment results in each EAEU country will be comparable. The EEC representatives told about this and a number of other regulatory legal acts of the Union during the seminar held in Minsk at the site of the Belarusian State Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Management.​

“The creation of a regulatory sandbox system of the Eurasian Economic Union is one of the priorities of the initiatives approved by the Heads of States of the Union. It’s a realistic possibility for the project initiators, regulators of the Eurasian Economic Commission to test innovative solutions, new business models, identify their strengths and weaknesses, better understand all possible risks and test regulatory approaches before they are legally enshrined,” – the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Karine Minasyan reported at the first meeting of experts devoted to the discussion of the regulatory “sandbox” system to be created in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).​

The issues of trade, customs cooperation and technical regulation were discussed at the Meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 24. Decisions were adopted to reduce import customs duties on certain types of goods, pharmaceuticals for the treatment of respiratory tract infections have been classified in accordance with the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (CN FEA EAEU), and the form of the Union testing certificate of certain critical components of amusement rides was approved.​

Issues of customs cooperation, competition, antimonopoly and technical regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries were considered at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 10. It sanctioned extension of the term of state price regulation for white sugar in the Republic of Belarus, determined the procedure for submitting information on the goods imported into the Union by waterborne transport, approved the lists of standards to the technical regulations on the safety of amusement rides, updated lists of standards to the technical regulations for perfumes and cosmetics, and adopted a number of other decisions aimed at deepening Eurasian integration.​

The meeting attended by more than 50 foreign companies and business associations as well as diplomatic missions of a number of countries took place in the American Chamber of Commerce.
