По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

On December 24, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board considered issues in the spheres of customs tariff, customs and technical regulation, transport, integration, digitalization of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries’ economies, competition, tax policy and others.

A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) was held on December 20 in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation). The meeting was attended by Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, Sooronbay Jeenbekov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, Nursultan Nazarbayev, First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Honorary Chairman of the SEEC, Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the EEC Board, and Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Moldova – as the Head of the Observer State at the EAEU. The SEEC Members have considered the issues of further Eurasian integration development, common labour market, single market of services, functioning of the EAEU internal market, competition and energy. A Pension Agreement for Working Population of the EAEU Member States was signed, an action plan to be implemented before launching the EAEU common electric power market was approved, and a number of other important decisions on the Eurasian integration were adopted.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the Executive Committee of the CIS EPC and the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will establish joint recommendations for developing electric power industry and assessing capacity for renewable energy and energy digital transformation. EEC and EUTFLO specified directions of bilateral cooperation

The Eurasian Union of Transport, Freight Forwarding and Logistics Organizations (EUTFLO) will remain a key partner of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Transport Unit in identifying problematic issues and obstacles in the sphere of transport, having regard to interests of business and transportation organizations. EEC strengthens cooperation with organizations in the sphere of transport
