По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

The terms for the temporary import of cars into the EAEU have been extended.

EAEU customs document structures updated

At an April 21 meeting, the EEC Board approved updated structures versions of the Eurasian Economic Union's main customs documents: declarations for goods, transit declarations, and their integral parts — adjustments to the goods declaration and customs value declaration. The classifiers used for filling them out were also amended.

Procedure for customs declaration of foreign goods for UEFA European Championship simplified

The EEC Board has simplified the procedure for customs declaration of foreign goods meant to be used in organizing and holding the 2020 UEFA European Championship or during related training arrangements. This refers to placing such goods under a special customs clearance and customs transit procedure.

Customs list now includes roundabouts and wild beast shows

The EEC Board has added the list of goods in respect of which the customs authorities make decisions on classifying goods moved across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union in an unassembled or disassembled form by heading 9508 of the EAEU Single Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity. This refers to including roundabouts, swings, shooting ranges and other attractions as well as travelling circuses, theaters and wild beast shows in the respective list.

Plan for implementing "single window" mechanism in the EAEU for 2020 approved

The EEC Council has adopted a detailed plan for implementing the Main Directions for developing the "single window" mechanism in the system of regulating foreign economic activities. This document serves as one of the project management tools for developing and implementing the "single window" mechanism in the Union Member States.

Customs marks in paper transport documents can be cancelled

No additional customs marks will be required in paper transport documents of foreign economic activity participants from the Eurasian Economic Union, if customs operations are performed in electronic format. On March 16, the EEC Council approved the relevant decision of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council which may be adopted by the Heads of Government of the Union countries in April this year.

EEC addresses Russian proposal on reducing allowance of duty-free import of goods for personal use

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has considered the issue of regulating the duty-free import of goods for personal use purchased by individuals within the framework of international e-commerce. The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council had instructed the Commission jointly with the governments of the Union States to address the incremental changes in duty-free norms, synchronizing thresholds for duty-free import of goods in trade and non-trade turnover as well as separating customs administration rules for such goods in the Customs Code of the EAEU in an individual unit with introducing an e-trade authorized operator institute.
