По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

The development of trade and economic cooperation between the States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the People’s Republic of China, and further steps to implement the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which entered into force on October 25 this year, were discussed by Veronika Nikishina, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Zhang Hanhui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to the Russian Federation during their meeting at the EEC’s headquarters.

New opportunities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) market for the European business and further development of trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and the European Union (EU) were discussed at the 6th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum. The event was attended by Veronika Nikishina, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), and Timur Zhaksylykov, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC.

The EEC Council approved the introduction of mandatory marking for a number of goods, discussed the issue of reducing mobile tariffs in roaming, and took measures to implement the pilot project on the formation of the product information system

A meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council with the involvement of the Deputy Heads of the Governments of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries and Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the EEC Board, was held on November 18 in Moscow. The EEC Council members reviewed issues in the spheres of the development of Eurasian economic integration, the functioning of the internal market, the digitalization of the EAEU countries' economies, the introduction of mandatory marking with means of identification for a number of goods, financial policy, the common market of services, manufacturing industry, technical regulation, international cooperation etc.

Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Zholymbet Baishev, President of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Grigory Rapota, State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Sergey Lebedev, Chairman of Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Members of the EEC Board (Ministers) and representatives of scientific and expert community of the EAEU countries summed up the results of the Eurasian integration development at the research and practical conference "New dimension of Eurasian integration: results of the fifth anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Union" held on November 11 in Moscow. The plenary session was moderated by Sergey Karaganov, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics, NRU HSE.

Some important decisions were made in the spheres of trade cooperation, implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) digital agenda, interaction between the Union countries on cooperation in the jewelry and agricultural industry and a number of others during a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) held on October 25 in Moscow (Russian Federation).
