По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

The developments of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are included for the first time in the new edition of the Framework Standards for Security and Facilitation of International Trade, and some of the documents included in them are published by the World Customs Organization (WCO). Framework standards are the most important international document in the field of customs, a generally recognized reference point for the world customs administrations.

The issues of customs regulation, competition and functioning of internal markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were considered at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s (EEC) Board. The EEC notes the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to eliminate a barrier in mutual trade, the case of signs of unfair competition has been discontinued, the overhead crane has been classified, and the Regulation on the Certifying Center of the Commission has been approved.​

The issues of customs cooperation, technical regulation and the internal market functioning were discussed at the meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on June 19. A recommendation was adopted for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) concerning interaction of the State control bodies, a procedure was approved with regard to delayed determination of the customs commodity cost.​

The issues of trade, internal markets, informatization, information and communication technologies, as well as customs regulation were considered during the meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on June 13. Import customs duty rates on a number of goods were lifted, certain types of products were classified; other decisions on deepening the Eurasian integration were adopted. The EEC Board has lifted import customs duty rates of the EAEU Common Customs Tariff (CCT) on the industrial fatty alcohols (IFA). The measure is introduced from September 2, 2018 to August 31, 2021. The current rate on these goods is 5% from their customs value.

Issues of trade, integration, customs cooperation and agricultural sector were considered at the session of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on May 22. Import customs duty rates in the Single Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for certain types of goods with the content of precious metals have been reduced to zero; a set of documents for information interaction of the Union’s authorized authorities and the EEC countries upon formation, keeping and application of the unified register of varieties of agricultural plants has been approved, a number of other decisions have been adopted aimed at deepening the Eurasian integration.​

The issues of trade, customs cooperation and technical regulation were discussed at the Meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 24. Decisions were adopted to reduce import customs duties on certain types of goods, pharmaceuticals for the treatment of respiratory tract infections have been classified in accordance with the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (CN FEA EAEU), and the form of the Union testing certificate of certain critical components of amusement rides was approved.​

Issues of customs cooperation, competition, antimonopoly and technical regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries were considered at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 10. It sanctioned extension of the term of state price regulation for white sugar in the Republic of Belarus, determined the procedure for submitting information on the goods imported into the Union by waterborne transport, approved the lists of standards to the technical regulations on the safety of amusement rides, updated lists of standards to the technical regulations for perfumes and cosmetics, and adopted a number of other decisions aimed at deepening Eurasian integration.​

Issues of trade, customs cooperation and technical regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries were discussed at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 3. The term of validity of antidumping duty charged on cold-reduced weldless stainless steel pipes from China and Malaysia was extended, customs duties on several types of gas turbines were increased up to 3 – 5% of the customs value.​

The EEC Board has determined some special aspects of customs control of the declared value of goods imported into the EAEU.​
