По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Plan for implementing "single window" mechanism in the EAEU for 2020 approved

The EEC Council has adopted a detailed plan for implementing the Main Directions for developing the "single window" mechanism in the system of regulating foreign economic activities. This document serves as one of the project management tools for developing and implementing the "single window" mechanism in the Union Member States.

Plan for developing EAEU technical regulations expanded

The EEC Council has amended the Plan for Developing the EAEU Technical Regulations. It is planned to be supplemented with items on limiting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and radioelectronic products and specifying requirements for furniture products.

Customs marks in paper transport documents can be cancelled

No additional customs marks will be required in paper transport documents of foreign economic activity participants from the Eurasian Economic Union, if customs operations are performed in electronic format. On March 16, the EEC Council approved the relevant decision of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council which may be adopted by the Heads of Government of the Union countries in April this year.

EEC prepared proposals on main directions of EAEU industrial cooperation until 2025

"The EEC Industrial Unit has prepared draft Main Directions of Industrial Cooperation within the EAEU until 2025," Alexander Gotovsky, Deputy Director of Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, reported on March 13 at the annual International Economic Forum of the CIS Participating States during the sessions "Digital technologies and financial instruments for efficient implementation of high-tech projects" and "Network platforms for international cooperative ties in the CIS countries’ industry".

The CIS Economic Development Strategy until 2030 and the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 will work for the benefit of people of the Eurasian space countries. This was stated by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the EEC Board, at the CIS International Economic Forum. The Head of the Board also noted that the documents would help solve the problem of slowdown in economic growth of the participating countries.

EEC Board notified Armenia of the need to comply with free movement of goods in EAEU

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has notified the Republic of Armenia of the need to cancel permits and duties on goods exported to the EAEU States (wood products, ores, ferrous waste and scrap and non-ferrous waste and scrap). They were established by the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On state duty" in 2012.

EEC and Israel agreed to intensify cooperation

Artak Kamalyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture, and delegation members of the Embassy of the State of Israel headed by Yacov Livne, Chargé d'affaires ad interim of Israel in Russia, discussed sectoral cooperation development in the industry and agricultural sector of the Eurasian Economic Union and the State of Israel at the EEC’s headquarters. Yacov Livne has informed that the Israeli side is ready to increase imports of beef and eggs from the EAEU countries in the near future.

Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held meeting with Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. The meeting was held on March 6 in the Fireplace Parlor of the House of the Government of the Russian Federation. The sides discussed the progress on Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 as well as issues of improving the EEC’s work.

Legal labor migration flows increase in EAEU

"Preferences in the single labor market provided to the Eurasian Economic Union citizens and not available to third country workers contribute to increasing the legality of labor migration”, - Askar Kishkembayev, Head of the Secretariat of the EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, stated at the international scientific and practical conference dedicated to discussing labor migration from the Kyrgyz Republic to the EAEU States.
