По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Experts of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Antitrust Unit held 18 visiting meetings of the Public Office over the past three months in order to establish direct contact with the business community of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Member States and identify obstacles to free trade between its members. The events were held in the cities of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has started a cooperative project on manufacturing galley equipment for ships. It is expected that deliveries of the Belarusian equipment made according to the Russian technological documents meant for the Russian vessels will be revived in the near future.

This was discussed at the meeting of the Advisory Committee on Technical Regulation, Sanitary, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Measures of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) chaired by Viktor Nazarenko, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the EEC, on October 10 at the Commission’s headquarters in Moscow.

The sides agreed to start working on assessing prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of potential Free Trade Agreement.
