По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Alexander Subbotin: Kyrgyz industry shows steady growth

Since the republic joined the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), industrial production in Kyrgyzstan has been growing at a faster pace as compared to the Union as a whole. This was declared on December 2 in Bishkek by Alexander Subbotin, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), at a practical conference on the integration of the Kyrgyz Republic with the EAEU countries.

The development of trade and economic cooperation between the States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the People’s Republic of China, and further steps to implement the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which entered into force on October 25 this year, were discussed by Veronika Nikishina, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Zhang Hanhui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to the Russian Federation during their meeting at the EEC’s headquarters.

The EAEU, in turn, plans to open up new sectors in which to invest and to harmonize the rules to regulate the treatment of investors.
