По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Decisions on mitigating restrictions on export of goods imposed in light of spreading coronavirus infection come into force in EAEU on May 10

Decisions adopted by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission on mitigating restrictions on export of a number of goods, imposed earlier in the Eurasian Economic Union in light of spreading coronavirus infection, will come into force on May 10. Such mitigation affected the export of certain types of fabrics and disinfectants to third countries (relevant decisions of the EEC Board No. 59 and No. 60 had been published on the EAEU official legal portal on April 30, 2020).

Requirements applied to the composition of perfume and cosmetic products in the Eurasian Economic Union's market have been clarified – the lists of substances prohibited or permitted for use subject to specified restrictions as well as lists of permitted colorants, preservatives and UV-filters have been updated. The requirements have been harmonized with the EU Cosmetics Regulation.

The Eurasian Economic Commission will develop an information resource on major investment and innovation projects significant for developing the Eurasian Economic Union's agricultural sector. The relevant decision was adopted by the EEC Council on April 29. It is expected that it would be supported at one of the next meetings of the Intergovernmental Council at the level of Heads of Government of the Union countries.

On April 28, the EEC Board approved updated lists of goods for which Armenia and Kyrgyzstan apply import customs duty rates other than those specified in the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union. Relevant overriding decisions were previously adopted at meetings of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the EEC Council held in December 2019 and January 2020. International treaties in this regard were signed on April 14.
