По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

EEC Developing New Directions for Industrial Cooperation in the EAEU

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has prepared draft Main Directions for Industrial Cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for the period up to 2025 and the prospect up to 2035. The document was reviewed by the participants in the meeting of the EEC Advisory Committee for Industry.

Therefore, for the successful implementation of the UN strategy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) until 2030, including in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), it is important that SDG specialists join forces with colleagues in the field of standardization,” – stated Victor Nazarenko, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) at the 29th session of the Working Party of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies (UNECE WP 6), which was held in Geneva (Switzerland).

EAEU Plans to Open New Sectors for European Investments

Representatives of European businesses expressed their interest in deepening investment cooperation with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The EAEU, in turn, plans to open up new sectors in which to invest and to harmonize the rules to regulate the treatment of investors. The businessmen discussed the prospects for interaction between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union on November 22 at the 6th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum.

The achievement of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries is more effective in those economic realms that are within the scope of supranational regulatory measures. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will continue promoting the implementation of the UN SDGs in the Union States. This was stated by Sergei Glazyev, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC, summarizing the International Macroeconomic Seminar held on November 22 at the EEC headquarters in Moscow.
