Viktor Nazarenko

Biography

He was born on July 1, 1958 in the village Alexandrovka, Kalinkovichi district, Gomel Region.

In 1976, he graduated with honors from the Gomel Machine-Building Technical School, in 1981 – also with honors from the Gomel Polytechnic Institute, specializing in mechanical engineering technology, metal-cutting machines and tools, qualified as a mechanical engineer.

In 1999, after graduating with honors from the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, he received the qualification of specialist in international economic affairs, and in 2006 – after completing the post-graduate course of the same educational institution he was awarded the academic degree of candidate of economic sciences.

He has an extensive experience of practical work in the field of technical regulation, certification, metrology, quality management and public service. In 1981, he began his career as foreman at Gomselmash Production Association. After urgent military service in the Armed Forces from 1983 till 1986 he worked as senior foreman, deputy head of the workshop at the Gomel Casting and Standard Parts Factory, and from 1986 till 1998 – again at Gomselmash Production Association where he worked his way from State Acceptance Representative to Deputy Director General for quality.

From 1998 till 2006 he held the office of Deputy Director of the scientific and production republican unitary enterprise "Belarusian State Institute for Standardization and Certification".

From 2006 to 2012 he worked as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus.

Since 2012, he held the office of Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus.

Since September 12, 2018 he is Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

He actively participated in scientific and teaching activities at the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian National Technical University and the Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Management. He is the author of a number of scientific papers on the issues of standardization, conformity assessment and quality management.

He is expert-auditor on conformity assessment of a number of products and quality management systems.

In 2015, he was awarded with medals "For Labor Merit" and "For Contribution to the Establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union". He was granted rewards by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus and a number of other state authorities of the Republic of Belarus.

Сфе- ра научной деятельности — реструктуризация угольной промышленности, развитие высшего образования, управление транснациональными корпорациями, стратегия развития интеллектуальной собственности, миграционные процессы.
