Alexander Subbotin
Biography

He was born in 1976 in Vitebsk, the Republic of Belarus.

He graduated from Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine (1998), specializing in Veterinary Medicine, and from International Institute of Management (2000), specializing in International Economic Relations.

From 1998 to 2015, he worked at Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine: from 2010 to 2012, he was Vice-Rector for Research, and from 2012 to 2014, he was First Vice-Rector of the Academy.

From 2014 to 2015, he served as Deputy Head of the Main Economic Directorate of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2015, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and Director of the Department of Veterinary and Food Control of the Republic of Belarus.

From 2017 to 2018, he served as Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus and Inspector for Vitebsk Region.

From 2018 to 2020, he served as Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

From March to June 2020, he was Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus for Mogilev Region.

From 2020 to 2021, he served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.

From 2021 to 2026, he was Head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

On March 19, 2026, by decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, he was appointed Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
