Tatyana Valovaya, Member of the EEC Board – Minister in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics, discussed trade-economic cooperation with the EAEU in Mongolia

On March 25-28, Tatyana Valovaya, Member of the
Board - Minister in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics
of the EEC, paid a working visit to Mongolia, accompanied by Sergei Shukhno,
Deputy Director of the Integration Development Department, and Department staff.

In Mongolia, Tatyana Valovaya met with
Dondogdorj Erdenebat, Minister of Industry, Radnaa Burmaa, Minister of Food and
Agriculture, Lundeg Purevsuren, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Luvsandandaryn
Hangai, Personal Representative of the Mongolian President for Economic,
Infrastructure and Investment Relations with Russia. Further, the EEC Minister
delivered a presentation of the EAEU in the Ministry of Industry of Mongolia,
and in the Strategic Research Institute under the National Security Council of
Mongolia for representatives of public, political and business circles.
During the meetings, Mongolian partners
expressed an interest in activation of the trade-economic cooperation with the
EAEU. The possibilities of improving trade relations between Mongolia and the
EAEU Member-States were discussed. The Mongolian party came up with a proposal
to conclude a Memorandum of Interaction with the EEC. The issue was taken into
elaboration.
Participants of the meetings confirmed
intentions to expand contacts with the EEC in order to spur the development of
trade-economic relations between Mongolia and the Member-States of the Eurasian
Economic Union.
