At its meeting held on January 29, the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board updated the lists of standards to the Customs Union's Technical Regulation "On safety of packaging."
Amendments to the lists of standards were prepared using the results of monitoring the adoption, application, updating and cancellation of standards included in the relevant lists of standards. The purpose of these amendments is to create conditions for applying up-to-date versions of standards and for a systematic transition from national standards to interstate ones as they are developed and enacted.
158 standards were included in the list of standards containing requirements. These include 154 interstate standards (19 standards were adopted on the basis of international standards, and 7 standards were adopted on the basis of European standards); two national standards of the Republic of Belarus, a national standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a national standard of the Russian Federation.
The list of standards establishing test methods includes 233 standards, including 176 interstate standards (27 standards were adopted on the basis of international standards, and two standards were adopted on the basis of European standards); 15 national standards of the Republic of Belarus, 9 national standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 13 national standards of the Russian Federation; 13 departmental test methods (information on access to the texts of methods is available on the Commission's official website in the "Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department" section).
A transitional period has been set with regard to using the standards being replaced.
