On the sidelines of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana, a bilateral meeting was held between Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates.

Both parties noted their high level of readiness to complete internal procedures for the entry into force of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the UAE.

“We agreed with the esteemed minister on the need to begin the practical implementation of the Agreement as soon as possible. In this regard, arrangements were made to develop a plan for relevant activities, business missions, and other issues that would facilitate the progress of our mutual trade,” Andrey Slepnev noted.
