Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting with Vinay Kumar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Russia.

The two sides discussed enhancing the economic interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and India, including the work on a Free Trade Agreement.

At the moment, there are active preparations for the first round of negotiations to conclude a preferential trade agreement.

"Trade and economic ties between the EAEU and India remain strong. Abolishing duties in mutual trade will further contribute to unlocking the existing potential for interaction," Andrey Slepnev stressed.
