Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a working meeting with Dmitry Volvach, Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation. They discussed some issues of enhancing interaction between the accreditation systems of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, as well as the possibility of integrating the marking and technical regulation systems.

“In order to develop the EAEU marking, it seems expedient to enhance the interaction between the marking information system and other state information systems, including in the field of compliance with technical regulation measures. This will enable to exclude cases of substituted authorization documents, use of authorization documents by unauthorized economic agents, application of annulled and invalid authorization documents, use and abuse of batch authorization documents,” Andrey Slepnev noted.

The sides agreed to interact while addressing the expediency of determining the status of the Eurasian bodies for validation and verification of greenhouse gases.

“As a member of international accreditation associations, we are interested in developing our themes within the Union. We have already achieved much: the EAEU Unified Register of Certificates and Declarations and technical regulations that cover 85% of the Union countries' trade. We should intensify interaction through the assessment system, and building of mutual trust: we should strive to ensure that trust between participants in the accreditation systems of different countries is high and this would be reflected in certificates and declarations,” Dmitry Volvach stated.
