During their meeting in New Delhi, India, Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India, highlighted the approbation of the road map aimed at fast-tracking effective free trade negotiations between the Eurasian Economic Union and India.

The parties have also agreed on the approach envisaging that the first round of negotiations will be held in early November this year in India and will be dedicated to reviewing the core points of the future deal. It will be preceded by the Commission's extensive consultations with its Indian partners and the EAEU Member States.

The Ministers agreed to have regular contacts to support the negotiations comprehensively.
