On October 14 in Moscow, a working meeting was held between Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Alexey Gordeev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The two sides discussed the work being done by the Eurasian Economic Commission to develop a network of trade agreements with third countries including in the context of the ongoing ratification procedures required for entry into force of the Economic Partnership Agreement with the United Arab Emirates and an Interim Trade Agreement with Mongolia signed in summer 2025.

"The Commission particularly appreciates a traditionally high level of interaction with the Russian legislative authorities that is an important factor in strengthening the multi-vector economic cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Union with its external partners," the EEC Minister noted.
