Andrey Slepnev met with Momčilo Babić, Ambassador of Serbia to Russia

Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting with Momčilo Babić, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation. The two parties discussed progress in implementing the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Serbia and outlined further steps to develop trade and economic cooperation.

“Trade between our countries in 2025 showed positive trends in a number of key product types. We expect that the Joint Committee’s meeting scheduled for this year will give additional impetus to our interaction,” Andrey Slepnev emphasized.

Momčilo Babić extended an invitation to the EEC to participate in the EXPO-2027 International Exhibition to be held from May 15 to August 15, 2027, in Belgrade.

The Free Trade Area Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States, on the one part, and the Republic of Serbia, on the other part, was signed on October 25, 2019 and came into effect on July 10, 2021.
