This was stated by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, during the international conference "Sustainable Aviation Transport of the EAEU 2026–2035" at the Network 2025 Forum taking place on September 17 in Moscow.

"The EEC attaches key importance to shaping a common transport space, eliminating infrastructural and administrative barriers, as well as fostering digital transformation of logistics. The Commission together with the EAEU States works on creating a common market of air transportation services in the Eurasian space," mentioned Arzybek Kozhoshev.

The Minister has also outlined that long-term development of the aviation industry requires a comprehensive approach and introducing a range of regional measures including harmonized legislation of the EAEU countries in the field of civil aviation.

The event became a venue for interaction between representatives of public authorities, business and expert community in the most relevant matters of sustainable transport, focusing on civil aviation and its multimodal component.

The conference was arranged ahead of the Decade of Sustainable Transport declared by the UN General Assembly and starting on January 1, 2026.
