Arzybek Kozhoshev, EEC Minister in charge of Transport and Infrastructure, spoke about energy and transport development amid the Eurasian integration during a research-to-practice conference held on October 23 in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic).
The EEC Minister spoke about the positive changes in the economic development of Kyrgyzstan since the Kyrgyz Republic joined the Treaty on the EAEU. Special attention was paid to the creation and modernization of energy and transport systems, which make a significant contribution to the economic development and welfare of the population.
Arzybek Kozhoshev briefed the conference participants on the progress in establishing energy markets, the situation in the Union's transport sector, as well as the most significant projects of the Kyrgyz Republic, the implementation of which will contribute to the development of the country's economy.
"The geographical location and high energy potential of Kyrgyzstan creates prerequisites to its becoming one of the key players not only in the transportation and logistics, but also in the energy industry of the region," Arzybek Kozhoshev mentioned. He thanked the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan for the high level of conference organization.The event was attended by representatives of public authorities and academia of Kyrgyzstan, heads of international organizations and funding institutions.
