At the invitation of Vitaly Savelyev, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the events of Russia's Transport Week held on November 14-17 in Moscow.

The EEC Minister made a presentation at the round table "Development of Logistics Infrastructure and Services along Eurasian Transport Corridors", during which he touched upon the most relevant matters of the transport industry development in the Eurasian Economic Union and integration prospects.

Particular emphasis in his speech was placed on the integration aspects of infrastructure development and work on key documents that have a direct impact on implementing projects and efficient functioning of the Eurasian transport corridors.

"The current global situation has allowed us to look at the priority areas of transport system development from a different perspective, where the role and value of the common market of transport services and logistics is strengthening," Arzybek Kozhoshev emphasized. 

Besides, he has noted that the Eurasian transport corridors and routes, as well as infrastructure projects in the field of transport implemented by the Union countries, are, in fact, links in the total logistics supply chain from the point of origin of goods traffic to the sales market or consumer.

In concluding his speech, Arzybek Kozhoshev drew attention to the fact that "synergy of transit potential within the Union and national transit potential of our countries can only be achieved if we work together in the transboundary and global markets".
