A working meeting between Arzybek Kozhoshev, the EEC Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure, and Mikhail Goncharov, Secretary General of the International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT), took place on July 3 at the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The two sides discussed relevant matters of rail transport in the Eurasian region, and developing transport infrastructure and logistics corridors in the EAEU in modern conditions.
The Minister emphasized the importance of further strengthening the partnership between the EEC and CCTT to create a sustainable transport system that promotes economic growth and integration in the Eurasian region.
"The practice of holding annual joint events on relevant matters of developing the transport and logistics complex shows the demand for this format. We bring representatives of government agencies, leading transport companies and associations around the same table," said Arzybek Kozhoshev.
Mikhail Goncharov emphasized that the practical implementation of interaction plan between the EEC Transport and Infrastructure Department and the CCTT Secretariat will serve as an additional impetus for advancing fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation on the development and improvement of international railway and multimodal transportation of goods.
