The two sides thoroughly discussed the matters of developing road transport. They designated digitalization of the transportation process as one of the key areas of the current work, which is in line with the objectives indicated by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The meeting paid special attention to introducing navigation seals and developing smart transportation systems.
Arzybek Kozhoshev told about the implementation of the pilot project to use e-CMR notes featuring all the EAEU states. He noted that at the meeting of the field-specific Working Group to implement the pilot project the parties agreed on the entire package of the required technological documents.
The negotiations discussed main directions of transport integration of the Five countries. In particular, it was about the preparation of the draft action plan (road map) to implement the Eurasian Economic Path Declaration on further development of economic processes within the Eurasian Economic Union until 2030 and for the period until 2045. It is planned that the EEC Council approves the document before the end of the year.
Special attention was paid to issues of road freight transportation and creation of seamless transport corridors including synchronized operations of checkpoints.
Finally, Arzybek Kozhoshev mentioned that in 2026 the chairmanship in the Council of Heads of authorized authorities in the field of transport will be assumed by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The two sides expressed confidence that during the term of its chairmanship Kazakhstan will encourage an active work to develop integration processes in the EAEU transport field.
