On May 28, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board Bakytzhan Sagintayev participated in the panel session "Integration without Barriers: Dialogue of Associations to Strengthen Economic Ties" at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana.
The Chairman of the EEC Board emphasized that the key stability factor in global economy today is the ability of integration associations to engage in mutually reinforcing cooperation.
"The Eurasian Economic Union is ready to further develop practical partnerships with all interested international and regional associations. This is one of our strategic priorities,” noted Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
The Eurasian Economic Commission has established a systemic dialogue with a wide range of partner organizations – from the CIS, SCO, ASEAN, and CICA to the UN and associations in Latin America and Africa.
Particular attention at the session was paid to the key topic of the Forum: the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
"In his address to the Heads of the EAEU Member States, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev identified the development of artificial intelligence as one of the new tools for deepening economic integration," Bakytzhan Sagintayev said. "We hope that the joint statement of the Heads of State at the Forum on the responsible development of artificial intelligence will further boost our cooperation in digital transformation and technological collaboration."
In conclusion, the Head of the EEC Board has stressed that integration helps equalize economic imbalances, increases resilience to external changes, and creates conditions for long-term development through regulatory harmonization, the development of cooperation, and the creation of a predictable environment for businesses and citizens.
