Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, congratulated Erlan Karin on his appointment as Vice President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Vice President institution was enshrined in the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adopted in a referendum on March 15, 2026. At the instruction of the President, the Vice President represents the Head of State in interaction with the Kurultai, the Government, and other public authorities, as well as exercises other powers as determined by the President.
