On August 31 in Bishkek, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.
The honorary guests of the event included countries' leaders, including China, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Türkiye, Belarus, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Kuwait, Afghanistan and a number of others.
The World Nomad Games are a significant international project aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural heritage, national traditions and identity of peoples.
Representatives of more than 100 countries are taking part in competitions across 43 types of ethnic sports. The programme includes equestrian competitions, various forms of national wrestling, archery, hunting with birds of prey, as well as intellectual games.
