On September 3 in Beijing (the People's Republic of China), Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, attended the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Invaders and in the World Anti-Fascist War.

The motto “Remember history, honor fallen heroes, cherish peace and create a better future” was the central theme of the anniversary celebrations.

The major event of the commemoration was the military parade in Tiananmen Square, attended by 26 foreign leaders. They included the Heads of all the Eurasian Economic Union countries and leadership of a number of reputable international integration structures.

The parade involved about 40,000 military servants and more than 500 units of China's high-tech military equipment.
