On November 28 at the EEC headquarters, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, took part in the 11th meeting of the Advisory Council on Interaction Between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Opening the event, Bakytzhan Sagintayev has emphasized that involvement of business circles in the integration processes is an important element of ensuring competitiveness of the EAEU economies.
Monitoring confirms that integration positively affects the business environment. In 2024 compared to 2023, the volume of mutual trade in goods within the Union increased by 9%, in services by 16%. Direct investment grew by 17%."The EEC and businesses of the Five States interact under the procedures for assessing the regulatory and actual impact of the Commission's decisions and draft international treaties," Bakytzhan Sagintayev reported. "In 2025, almost all requests of entrepreneurs received by the Commission had positive outcomes: some of them were resolved, others enjoyed comprehensive clarifications."
As was highlighted by the Head of the EEC Board, important areas of activity are the creation of beneficial conditions in external markets by industrial enterprises and support to cooperation projects in industry and agriculture.
In conclusion, the Head of the Board has told that the Commission's activities are generally aimed at creating favorable conditions for doing business within the EAEU by unlocking the Eurasian economic integration potential and urged the business community to continue an intensive and open dialogue."As our experience shows, it is not enough to create the legal framework and get financing. To launch support mechanisms effectively, there should be a pool of real business projects that will meet market demands and the needs of today or, better still, tomorrow. In this regard, we rely on the practical assistance of the EAEU Business Council," Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.
The purpose of the Advisory Council is to ensure an effective dialogue between the Commission and the EAEU Business Council to determine the directions and prospects for developing entrepreneurship in the areas of EEC competence.
