Nikolay Chuikov was born in Chui Region in 1979. In 2003, he graduated from Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University as a Mathematical Economist.

He started his career in 2003, taking office as Lead Specialist at the Sample Surveys Directorate of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan. Later, he worked as Chief Specialist at the Directorate for the System of National Accounts.

In 2007, he was appointed Head of the Price Statistics Department of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

From 2011 to 2018, he worked at the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic as Head of the Integration Processes and Macroeconomics Sector, Deputy Head of the Department for the Fuel and Energy Complex and Subsurface Resource Management as well as Head of the Economy and Investment Department.

From 2018 to 2022, he served as First Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Since January 19, 2026 he was appointed Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Statistics Department.
