EAEU and Indonesia held third round of negotiations on free trade agreement

The third round of negotiations to conclude a free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Republic of Indonesia was held on December 13-15 in Denpasar (Republic of Indonesia).
"As a result, significant progress has been made in harmonizing the regulatory part of the agreement - some chapters have been agreed upon in full. We and our Indonesian partners proceed from the perspective of holding negotiations in a qualitative and prompt manner," noted Anton Tsetsinovsky, Head of the Section of Special Issues of Trade Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Trade Policy Department and Chief Negotiator from the EAEU.

In May 2022, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council decided to start negotiations with Indonesia. The first and second rounds of negotiations took place in April and July this year.
The trade turnover between the Union States and Indonesia has doubled over the past two years.
