During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of customs cooperation and further steps to implement integration projects, such as exchange of customs information and the accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the EAEU Agreement on the Unified System of Customs Transit.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the Agreement on using navigation seals for tracking shipments in the EAEU, as well as the effects of their use for bona fide businesses.
The EEC Minister invited representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum, which will be held on May 28-29 in Astana. During the EEF 2026, the customs bloc will hold a panel session focusing on the digitalization of customs processes and the prospects for introducing elements of artificial intelligence into customs activities.
The parties emphasized the importance of developing dialogue between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Uzbekistan, as well as maintaining systemic contacts to deepen integration processes.
The Agreement on using of navigation seals for tracking shipments in the EAEU entered into force on February 11 of this year. During this period, more than 30,000 goods have been transported across the territory of the EAEU using electronic navigation seals.
