To expand industrial cooperation in railway engineering in the Eurasian Economic Union countries, representatives of the Industry and Agriculture Unit of the Eurasian Economic Commission held a number of working meetings with senior management and technical specialists of Belarusian machine-tool enterprises at the production site of Kolomna Locomotive Works, Moscow region.
At the moment, this enterprise is developing a project to manufacture 1MW to 7.35MW engines. It is planned to implement it in part through the financial support mechanism for cooperative projects in the EAEU industries.
During the events, the parties expressed their readiness for cooperation and set about exchanging commercial offers and preparing equipment supply contracts.
In this regard, Vitaly Vovk, Deputy Director of the EEC Industrial Policy Department, noted, "Industrialists of our Union's countries need to realize the importance of building new cooperation chains to achieve technological sovereignty not only for individual enterprises but also for the entire Eurasian transport engineering cluster and related industries."
Working meetings were held with representatives of such companies as Belorgstankinprom, Vistan, Ruchservomotor, Krasny Borets, Gomel Machine Tools and Assemblies Plant, StankoGomel.
Kolomna Locomotive Works manufactures mainline passenger diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and diesel engines.
