EEC and CIS Executive Committee develop cooperation in the field of intellectual property
Results of cooperation in 2021 and joint arrangements in this year were discussed by Ermek Kuantyrov, Director of the Business Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Mikhail Myskin, Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the CIS Executive Committee, on July 18 at the EEC’s headquarters.

The parties noted the need to promote the joint agenda of the EEC and the CIS Executive Committee in the field of intellectual property, to raise social and business awareness about the main trends in developing the sphere of legal safeguard and protection of intellectual property in the Eurasian space, as well as to improve the rules of international law in this field.

Following the meeting, an arrangement was reached on organizing and holding a round table in Q4 of 2022 to exchange information and experience in the field of intellectual property involving representatives of both organizations, scientific and public circles, as well as the business community of the EAEU and the CIS.

"Our organizations have a shared objective - to develop a present day and efficient intellectual property system to raise the living standards and improve competitiveness of our countries’ economies", Ermek Kuantyrov noted.
