EEC and RCC discussed reducing costs of Unionwide roaming calls
At the EEC headquarters, Maksim Yermalovich, Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a working meeting with Alexey Borodin, Director General of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC).

The two sides discussed reducing the cost of international roaming calls and combating fraud on telecom operator networks in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The results of joint work in 2025 were summed up, and further stages of interaction between the EEC and the RCC were outlined.

Maksim Yermalovich highlighted the importance of cooperation with the RCC in further implementing the action plan to establish fair roaming rates within the Union.

The Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) is one of six regional organizations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The Commonwealth unites 12 CIS States under the aegis of the ITU and the UN. Cooperation is conducted in the field of telecommunications, postal services, and information technology.
