Director of the Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission Nikolai Kushnarev spoke at the panel session of the Central Asian International Economic Forum "The role of international organizations in the development of Eurasian cooperation" in Dushanbe held on July 22. Central Asia is a region for new formats of interaction".

In his speech Nikolay Kushnarev noted the key aspects and possible prospects for the development of integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union and the role of Central Asian states therein.

The Head of the EEC Department emphasized that in order to ensure sustainable long-term development of the EAEU and Central Asian economies, it is necessary to focus joint efforts on a technological breakthrough in key modern industries, such as microelectronics, mechanical engineering and robotics, by developing and implementing innovative solutions that will create the basis for the transition to new technological formats.

"Central Asian countries have significant resource potential and are characterized by dynamic growth of manufacturing industry capacities. Here we have a good possibility both for the countries' participation in the creation of joint high-tech industries in the EAEU, and possibilities for Eurasian investments and new technological partnership," Nikolay Kushnarev emphasized.
