Daniyar Imanaliev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the EEC session “Economic Integration in the EAEU: Focus on Internal Potential” held as part of the Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum on August 6 in the Issyk-Kul Region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event attendees discussed practical opportunities for interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union, promising areas of trade and economic cooperation, attracting investments in regional projects, developing trade and production ties, launching and scaling up cooperative initiatives, as well as the tools used by the Commission, banks, and development institutions to support such projects.
The EEC Minister paid particular attention to developing mutual trade within the EAEU as one of the key factors of the Eurasian integration.
“At year-end 2025, the volume of mutual trade in goods within our Union is preliminarily estimated at 95 bln dollars. The share of mutual trade in the total foreign trade turnover of the EAEU countries amounted to 20%. According to forecasts, mutual trade will exceed 100 bln dollars in 2026,” Daniyar Imanaliev emphasized.
The session highlighted the need to further use the EEC tools to support regional initiatives, develop cooperative projects, and extend practical interaction between regions, businesses, banks, and development institutions within the EAEU.
