As part of the work carried out by the Eurasian Economic Commission to develop cooperation in the chemical industry in the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as to prepare the Review of the Fine Chemicals Industry in the EAEU in 2019-2023, a delegation of the Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission visited the laboratory of the Russian company LABADVANCE based in the Skolkovo innovative science and technology complex.
The company has developed a unique microfluidic chip technology that makes it possible to create new fine chemicals even in mini-labs having an area of less than one square meter. Notably, chemical processes take place under simulated conditions inside the microchip using minimal amounts of feedstock.
Delegates of the Industrial Policy Department told the representatives of LABADVANCE about the possibilities of applying the new mechanism for financing industrial cooperation, which is beginning to be used in the EAEU countries.
"The use of the mechanism for financing industrial cooperation can become a powerful tool for the development of the fine chemicals segment in the Union and the creation of import-substituting production facilities for critical products," said Georgy Arzumanyan, Deputy Director of the EEC Industrial Policy Department.
