The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board adopted a disposition on establishing a Working Group on interaction with the World Customs Organization (WCO).
The Working Group’s prime objectives include developing a set of measures related to exploring the EAEU possibility to join the WCO fundamental legal instruments and means, promoting the interests of the Union and its Member States in this organization and obtaining the WCO Member status by the Union.
The Commission's full participation in the work of the World Customs Organization will enable it to participate in developing international standards in the field of customs regulation and analyze them for compliance with the Union’s law.

Paragraph 11.7.5. of the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025, approved by Decision No. 12 of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council dated December 11, 2020, envisages the following activities: conducting joint actions with the Member States aimed at obtaining the WCO Member status by the Union; exploring the Union’s possibility to join the WCO fundamental documents.
