On October 17, following the Golden Autumn 2025 Agricultural Exhibition, there was a working meeting between Gohar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The Ministers discussed the progress of drafting the Plan for implementing the Eurasian Economic Path Declaration on Further Development of Economic Processes within the EAEU until 2030 and for the period until 2045 in terms of the agricultural sector.

They also addressed issues on the agenda of the next meeting of the EAEU Agricultural Policy Council scheduled to be held in Minsk on November 13.

The two sides attended approaches to creating a mechanism for financial support to cooperative projects in the agricultural sector of the Member States.

"The introduction of this financial instrument is a significant practical step for the implementation of joint projects in agriculture enabling to leverage the scale of the EAEU common market, as well as utilize technology and production competencies of the parties and favorable economic conditions for business activities," Gohar Barseghyan mentioned.

Gohar Barseghyan and Oksana Lut expressed readiness to expand cooperation on developing the EAEU common agricultural market. They reached an agreement to hold a Eurasian Agro-Industrial Congress in 2026 to discuss prospects for enhancing integration and innovative development of the agricultural sector in the EAEU States.
