Gohar Barseghyan, Minister in charge of Industry and the Agricultural Sector of the Eurasian Economic Commission spoke in Moscow at the plenary session "10 Years of the Eurasian Economic Union: Achievements and Priorities" at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Gohar Barseghyan told the event participants about the achievements of the Eurasian Economic Union, with which the countries of the integration association approached the anniversary date.
As was noted by the EEC Minister, the Union's GDP has increased by more than 12% over 10 years and is estimated at 2.4 trillion dollars at last year end. Mutual trade is developing; its volume reached $88.7 billion by the end of 2023. Over the decade, the volume of trade turnover between EAEU countries has doubled.
The Minister also informed about the development of the Union manufacturing industry, instruments of its support and promotion.
"A union development budget has been formed, which is aimed at creating new regional cooperation chains in the manufacturing industry," Gohar Barseghyan noted.
