EAEU inflation amounted to 12.9% in 2022

The consumer price index for goods and services in the Eurasian Economic Union amounted to 100.8% in December 2022 compared to November 2022 and to 112.9% compared to December 2021.

In 2022, the greatest increase in prices was recorded for non-food products (by 13.3%). During this period, prices for food products increased by 12.2%, and prices for paid services grew by 12.9%.

The increase in prices for food products higher than in the EAEU was registered in Kazakhstan (by 25.3%), Kyrgyzstan (by 17.1%), and Belarus (by 13.8%). The largest increase in prices for non-food products was observed in Kazakhstan (19.4%) and Belarus (by 13.7%); in prices for paid services – in Kazakhstan (by 14.1%) and Russia (by 13.2%).
